Mine started out as a minimalistic trio with Emma Holmér’s magical voice in the center. During the recordings of the debut album in 1996 it became a five-piece band mixing groove, electronica and jazz. Cool sounds, Emmas voice and guest appearances by Flesh Quartet, Goran Kajfeš och Decendence made the album a bit of a hit and it got released in Japan and Korea and Little Pieces played a lot on Swedish radio. Here they take on my Orchards Filling the Void from their successful EP Too Cool for School from 2001 which had two tracks playlisted on P3 at the same time.
Fun fact: Emma is one of the punk girls that the characters in Lukas Moodyssons film “Vi är bäst” are based on.
