Doom metal before Doom Metal was invented? Charly & The Slaves started out as a punk band, developed into hard rocking post punk and on this track took a turn for a more gothic and doomy style. Grinding guitars, brilliant vocals and a great track that would be called Doom metal if it was not recorded in 1987. In fact one of the members would form Doom legends Left Hand Solution in the early 90-ies. But that is another story. Check out this previously unreleased gem with great gothic sounds!

Charly & The Slave was punk band that at the time fused metal and goth elements in a way that made them quite unique in the 80-ies. During the active years they recorded several singles that never was released. Great track with brilliant vocals and magical agressive guitars. We will release these previously unreleased three singles from the years 1985-1988 that takes the band from punk to postpunk to goth-metal. Time have catched up with these tracks and sounds even better today.
